I recently attended a strategic planning meeting where the organizer had us break into smaller groups to identify an action we wanted to implement. There were four steps to completing the exercise. In our small group, we could not make it past step two which was offer up a solution. We got hung up on the “big picture” that we didn’t even consider starting small and working up. Like a rolling snowball, even if you initially start small, you can build upon your ideas and gain momentum. Every small step still moves you forward.
