Our actions always speak louder than words and integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Words are powerful by themselves but when they are backed by your actions that is when people really take notice. When we do not honor our words with our action, yes, other people may not notice but the one person most affected, is you. Even when you think no one is watching, stay true and honest with yourself.

I love a road trip. The great thing about a road trip is you can calculate your rest stops or food breaks based on the mileage and time it will take for you to get to the next big city. How nice it would be in life if we could know how far we had to go to accomplish our dreams? We can, and that is the beauty of goals. Your goals are the cities along the way to your final destination. Enjoy your journey.
Many times when we think life is not going our way, is the time that life is redirecting you. We can get so catch up doing things in such a manner that is simply becomes a routine. The change up offers new possibilities that you could have missed without it. You may not see the blessing in the mess but once the smoke clears, that is when it’s time to look for the new opportunities. Life shakes you up to wake you up.
Your charm and personality will open doors for you but what will keep you there is your character. One of my favorite quotes is by Mr. Jim Rohn, “work harder on yourself than you do on your job.” Personal development is an ongoing process that will have a huge impact on your life. Once you realize just how valuable you are, others seem to pick up on it too. There is something magical in the air!
What I have learned over the past few months is that if we can get beyond what you “see” of a person, you may just find out that you have more in common with them then you think. The universe will bring people in and out of your life to help you along this journey. What we think we know just might be the thing that is holding you back in having the success you are desiring. Stop thinking and just sit back and enjoy the ride.
Have you discovered you superpower yet? We all have gifts and talents that are unique as each of us. A few questions to start asking may be, what makes your heart sing? What can you do easily that others struggle with? What do you enjoy doing even if you didn’t get paid for it? Each and every one of us has something special and unique to offer. The terrible thing to do is to live your life and never take time to discover it.
In the past, if anyone asked me what do you think success looks like, I would have said “lots of money, fancy cars and big houses”. I was waiting for something “spectacular” to happen. I had to stop and ask, what does success mean to me? It will look and feel different to each of us. The key factor is to take a moment to examine what is success to you. You will never “be” successful when you base it on other people’s standards.
To make room for anything new we have to clear out the old. For instance, I adopted the habit of clearing out my closet at the same time the seasons change. In the past, I would hold on to things I no longer wore because they didn’t fit our they were just unfashionable. It simply cluttered up space. I would buy storage bins but over time I would forget what I placed in them and they would take up space. Like our closets, we have to clear out some of our old thoughts and ideas in order to prepare for the new season. In order to grow we have to learn to let go.
