Met up with a friend and she was saying she couldn’t stay focused. I asked if she had a clear understanding of “why” she does what she does. For instance, on a magnetic compass, the dial always points to true north. Your “why” is true north in life. When you know your “why” your what has more impact because your walking into or towards your purpose. -Micheal Jr.

The beautiful thing about confidence is that you can share a difference of opinion with someone and not feel diminished. You are you, no matter whether agrees or disagrees with you. You no longer need the approval of others to be your true authentic self. But you may be asking how do I get there. Take time to get to know you. Learn what you like. Pay attention to your self-talk. Self-care is not selfish, it’s a confidence booster.
While I was watching the Super Bowl I remembered one time watching the game on a Monday morning in Guam when I was in the military. We had such a great time even though it was not something that many of us were used to. That’s the thing of memories, they allow us relive the past whether bad or good. But the beauty of memories are they are the PAST. They cannot be changed but we can learn from them. Learn, let go and live.
The reason why things become uncomfortable to people is because we’ve changed just like if we loose weight or gain weight. We have to make the necessary changes to accommodate the changes. You are no longer the person you once were. Unlike weight gain, in life, we should want to expand and grow. There is nothing like becoming a bigger more expansive version of yourself through personal development. It truly makes you a more attractive person in the end.
With just a little effort you can turn a stranger into a friend. The one thing I try to do, no matter where I am, or who I am interacting with, is to learn that person’s name. Like most of us, we want to know we matter. The smallest act sometimes can have the biggest impact. Everyone of us is going through something, and with a little extra effort of kindness, you just might be the rainbow in someone else’s day.
It’s easy to get lost in the day to day activities. That why it is so important to develop habits that will enable you to stay focused, motivated, healthy and happy. One great habit to start is planning your day or you week out a head of time. By doing this one thing, you make sure you plan for the activities that will provide positive results in helping you achieve your desired goals. Establishing positive habits will help keep you grounded for whatever life throws your way.
On occasions it may feel like life hits us a little bit harder than others. On days like that, it is best to have a support team to call upon or find a quiet space to think and reflect. A friend of mine referred the process of getting still to that of when a computer reboots. Rebooting is a process that we can use to restart ourselves by using quiet time to reset our intentions. Rebooting is simply resetting our minds back to a good.
My favorite saying is “I love it when a plan comes together.” – John “Hannibal” Smith (A-Team). It’s like each of us are unique puzzle pieces and when we get together with others you can see the bigger picture. You never know if they many have a solution to one of your challenges or you may have an answer for one of theirs. What’s amazing ids we all have “whys” but it is not until we come together with others that we can figure out the ‘”hows”.
I want to take a moment to talk with you who have loved ones that we wrap a little extra love around each day as they head out. As we have sat and watched TV, seen posts on the internet and read in newspapers, you may have felt like me and wondered what can I do. If there is injustice for one, there is injustice for all! I realized my reason for joining this national company was greater than any compensation plan, it offers a peace of mind, that’s why I felt compelled to write this post. Like so many of us, I can get “caught up in the excitement of things and overlook the details in order to jump right in. What takes the wind out of our sails is not taking the time to read the “rules” and then getting the news that you have lost or been disqualified. In order to win at any game, we MUST to know how to play the game. Every game has a set of rules in order to play. Don’t rely on what others tell you, put in the effort to get familiar with the rules of the game yourself.
