    Tidbit of Insight

tai-chiInsight comes like a tweet, if you are not paying attention you just might miss it.

I was talking with a friend this afternoon and she was sharing that her Tai Chi instructor told the class that if you are having trouble with your physical balance, it’s because your not focused. My friend said she never realized that. I was taken back because my friend is one of the most conscious thinking type person I know. She is my spiritual sister. We both laughed and I told her we’ve discussed this subject before and that she must not have been paying attention and laughed.

What I know in my experience is that whatever it is you are looking for your will surely find. The key is your awareness. Make time to quiet your thoughts each day and everyday you will begin to pick up tidbits of insight that the Universe is trying to share with you.

  • Why… It’s Important

    Why… It’s Important

purpose concept on signpostIt takes courage and a bit of risk to step outside your comfort zone. That is why a strong “why” is so important to have. The “why” is what will make the most daunting tasks worth doing. A strong “why” is what will give you the gas to keep going on days when you feel empty. A strong “why” is what makes the struggles worth while. Make sure you write down your “why” and review it as often as possible. Why? Because it’s important to know.

    In Your Hands

world-in-your-handsCreating a new habit is simply taking a wish, writing it down, committing action to accomplish it over and over again. Once it takes root, you develop a “craving”. These cravings are what pulls you towards your future. The power to choose your future is in your hands. Habits are nondiscriminatory so they can work for you or against you. So choose wisely.

    They Mean Well

heart in handI stopped sharing most of my dreams with others not because I don’t think that they will not support me, but in actuality, their form of support is not helping but rather hindering success. I had someone say to me “be careful because things might not work out the way you want them to and you’ll get disappointed.” I thought to myself, isn’t that called life?

    Quiet and Focused

Woman with eyes closed.A quiet mind is a focused mind. Life offers up tons of distractions everyday. Use the quiet moments throughout the day to relax and reflect on what is important to you. The more you can quiet your thoughts the more clear and focused you become. Consciously focusing on your breathing or just simply sitting still are great tools to use.

    A Low Cost Education

college-studentsI just finished another book and what I find so fascinating is my hunger for knowledge continues to grow each day. When I read these books, I imagine myself sitting in a classroom learning from some of the most inspiring teachers. It’s like attending college without the cost. The best part is you choose the subjects to study. How cool is that!

    Check Your Algorithm

search-marketingI worked with a civilian contractor early in my military career. Whenever I would say “life sucks”, Mrs. Brown would reply back with, “life is what you make it.” Now more than 25 years later, I finally understand what she was trying to say. What we choose to focus on, is what we attract, whether “good” or “bad”. In other words, like Facebook, once you begin a search, it will continue to feed your timeline with similar posts.
