There are times in life when there will be two things that we may want but are not be able to decide which one is the one we should hold onto and which one do we let go of. When I was watching my granddaughter the other a day, she had her pacifier in her mouth when she tried to put the bottle in her mouth at the same time. She would not take the pacifier out of her mouth. I laughed and asked her, which one baby? “You can’t have the bottle and keep the pacifier in your mouth.” So often life offers up choices to us. When it comes to choosing things that will help us grow in life remember, we can’t gain new insight holding onto old thinking. To grow and thrive, we can’t eat with a pacifier in our mouth.Tag: Opportunities

Which One Baby?

The Shake Up
Many times when we think life is not going our way, is the time that life is redirecting you. We can get so catch up doing things in such a manner that is simply becomes a routine. The change up offers new possibilities that you could have missed without it. You may not see the blessing in the mess but once the smoke clears, that is when it’s time to look for the new opportunities. Life shakes you up to wake you up.Photo credit: click here.

Mode of Transportation
Life will offer up an answer to our prayers but not send it the way we expect it. Here is another way to look at it, we ask for a ride to our desired destination but because we don’t like the vehicle choice to get there, we turn down the ride. Keep in mind, the main objective is to get from point A to point B.Photo credit: click here.

In Your Hands
Creating a new habit is simply taking a wish, writing it down, committing action to accomplish it over and over again. Once it takes root, you develop a “craving”. These cravings are what pulls you towards your future. The power to choose your future is in your hands. Habits are nondiscriminatory so they can work for you or against you. So choose wisely.Photo credit: click here.

A Low Cost Education
I just finished another book and what I find so fascinating is my hunger for knowledge continues to grow each day. When I read these books, I imagine myself sitting in a classroom learning from some of the most inspiring teachers. It’s like attending college without the cost. The best part is you choose the subjects to study. How cool is that!Photo credit: click here.

Can’t Stop Now
Look for ways to get around the obstacles to your success. The great thing about an obstacle in life is that you can get around them and/or learn from them. If you are focused and determined to achieve a specific goal in, an obstacle is just a speed bump, a detour or a delay. There is nothing that can stop a determined soul.Photo credit: click here.

Year End Reflection
We are just about two weeks away from the end of the year. Now is the perfect time to take inventory of what worked for you this year and what you should consider changing for next year. I like to call it, The Year End Reflection. This is also a great time to plan out your goals for next year, both professional or personal. Let’s bring in 2017 with gratitude in our hearts and goals on our minds.Photo credit: click here.

Expand Your Vision
Develop a panoramic view of your life. In Stephen Covey’s book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People he offers up the thought to begin with the end in mind. What is it you want to be remembered for? What do you want people to say about you? With a panoramic view you can take in so much more of life and develop into a bigger, more expanded version of yourself as well.

Become a Master
In one of the books I read, it stated that we can not connect the dots unless we look back. Looking back is good once in a while, but your future is in front of you. Learn to reconcile and appreciate all of the events in your past because they have made you the person you are today. That means the choices you make today, will lead you to the person you wish to become tomorrow. How cool is that? You can become the master of your fate and the captain of your soul!Photo credit: click here.
