    The Great News

good-news-2Instead of hiding from the Jehovah’s Witness that started coming to my home a few weeks ago, I invited the two women in to discuss “The Good News”. It’s been an amazing learning experience not in the sense of religion or spirituality but as in learning who I have become over the past few years. I think the Bible study sessions have become a form of checks and balances in my beliefs. As for me, I have no desire to convert but I enjoy discussing a hot button topic and do not feel diminished when we do not come to the same conclusion. I know in order for anyone to grow and expand into the best version of themselves, one must not be afraid to step out of their comfort zone. I must admit, I don’t know why or how long we will continue to meet, but I do know that what ever is happening is only for my good, and that’s great news.

    Desires in Bloom

goodwp.com_18212“It is spring again. The earth is like a child that knows poems by heart.” ― Rainer Maria Rilke

I love my morning walks especially during the springtime. I think it’s because of the tree blossoms. The blossoms are a sign that what we thought looked dead is actually alive. Spring to me means new beginnings because it’s truly a completely new season during the new year. I love the possibilities that come with new hopes, new dreams, or new beginnings. The walks seem a little bit more invigorating and refreshing. My wish for this new season in life is that each and everyone of you find something that excites, inspires and motivates just as my walks do. Let your desires take bloom.

    Who Knew?

mustard.jpg.pagespeed.ce_.qzz6Z_RXcWA friend of mine prescribed a teaspoon of mustard to help me fight my cold. I took her advice and felt so much better. I wanted to know why she recommended mustard, so I Googled: mustard for colds. Check this out, “As a warming herb, mustard seed will encourage perspiration that can lower fevers and cleanse the body of toxins. This will help the body fight colds and flu.” My first instinct was to grab over-the-counter medicine but I wanted something natural. I love natural remedies but I do not have a passion for learning that subject, but I have friends who do. As in life, there are always different ways to accomplish something. Learn to let go of your notion of having to be right or wrong and stay open to new possibilities.

Curiosity: A Desire to Know Or Learn

investigate-magnifying-glassI am watching my love bird climb his cage to check out a lamp I placed above his cage. He is always investigating things around his cage. I have to stay mindful about what I place near his cage. What I love the most is that after 13 years, he is still curious about things and he is willing to check things out.

Life is always offering a chance for us to explore the possibilities around us. Don’t just sit in your world, investigate it.
