  • Become a Master

    Become a Master

looking-into-the-futureIn one of the books I read, it stated that we can not connect the dots unless we look back. Looking back is good once in a while, but your future is in front of you. Learn to reconcile and appreciate all of the events in your past because they have made you the person you are today. That means the choices you make today, will lead you to the person you wish to become tomorrow. How cool is that? You can become the master of your fate and the captain of your soul!

  • You Belong

    You Belong

business-networkingI have learned to enjoy myself at networking events once I focused on making connections rather than making sales. Most of the time, people are not there to buy because each of us have our own agendas in mind. Make the most of the connections and wherever you are, act like you belong there. Make your presence be known. Your energy alone will cause people to take notice.

    LoPrioritize Your Priorities

ClockOne of my top priorities is to always take care of the people or things that take care of me. Whether it is making sure the family is taken care of, the park passes are current or the car needs maintenance, whatever allows me to keep moving forward in doing what I do best is what I take care first. Take care of those things that take care of you. Focus on what makes you happy and brings you peace and fulfillment.

  • On the Lookout

    On the Lookout

boy-looking-through-telescope-in-desertSometimes you just have to say yes to an opportunity and then figure out the details later. Often our first response is to say no. Opportunities come to move you and to help you grow. The key factor is to remember that all prayers are answered. The answers just may not come in the form of our expectations.

  • Self-Examination

    Self-Examination

stock-footage-woman-holds-magnifier-and-puts-it-to-chin-against-sky-and-sun-720x340Here is a sad truth, for years I would wear undergarments that were worn out and had holes. I made sure everyone in my family was taken care of but never invested the same energy into myself. I looked great on the outside but was holey and tore up underneath, until I raised my standards. Self-esteem can be the biggest deterrent to achieving success if left un-examined. Raise your standards by first paying attention to how you talk to yourself. Would you talk to a friend the same way?

  • Hard Work

    Hard Work

hard-workI listen to motivational messages on YouTube daily. Many messages state it takes “hard work” to achieve your dreams. I used to get hung up on the phrase “hard work” because I thought is applied to just physical work. Working on your character is just as hard as working on your physical self. You have to take care of your mind just like you have to take care of your body.

The more my business grows the more demanding my time becomes. With a strong network of support, I can do what I do best knowing I have folks who do what they do best. Together we can achieve more.

  • Because of You

    Because of You

alone-sad-photos-18There is something to learn from everyone. What folks sometime forget to realize is that the road is often a two way street. You have something valuable to teach as well as anyone else. Perhaps when people cross your path, it’s not because of who THEY are but it’s because of who YOU are.

  • Explore the Possibilities

    Explore the Possibilities

space-explorationMany people describe the type of work that they do when you ask “tell me about yourself”.  What I discovered is what we do is not who we are. As I develop my talents, skills or gifts, I am finding that they are slowly making a way for me.  The opportunities are endless if your are not afraid the be limitless. By only focusing on what you “do”, you will never discover what you can become.

  • What Do You Want?

    What Do You Want?

asking-questionsOne of the biggest challenges that I have had to overcome is asking for what it is that I want or need. I realized that I didn’t know what it was that I wanted, therefore I didn’t know what to ask for. In order to know what your want/need first get clear about what it is that you want out of life. Once you have clarity, it becomes much easier to know what it is your need in order to achieve your goals. Asking then becomes much easier.
